Marlo Hampton Shares Exactly What Happened the Night of Her Home Invasion
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member opened up about the moment her house was broken into.
After Marlo Hampton and her nephews, Michael and William, went through a terrifying home invasion last month, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member shared more details about the experience on the August 14 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“Marlo, I was sad to hear that your home got broken into in July while you were there,” the titular host said. “Did they take a lot?”
After clarifying, “They didn’t take anything,” Marlo explained exactly what happened that night. “It was Michael’s birthday, and we had just got back from Houston,” she said. “William was sleeping on the couch downstairs. We had just heard a crazy noise. William screamed, and I just knew it was fear. And I looked at the camera and there were four guys with guns, everything... They raced out because I stood up there and I said some words that scared them.”
In July, Marlo opened up about the incident in the caption of an Instagram post. “I’ve been experiencing so many emotions after my safe space, my home was broken into by [four] armed men! After alerting my family, close friends, and my RHOA cast mates it was important for me to let the Sandy Springs police do their job,” she wrote in part. “For now, what’s most important is that my nephews and I are alive.”
