Your Official Guide to Exploring New Orleans, Real Housewives of Atlanta-Style
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast explored New Orleans' incredible sites and culinary offerings during a group vacation to the city.
When The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members arrived at Hotel Indigo in New Orleans, Louisiana, the group was greeted with po' boys and cocktails before they even stepped foot inside. Little did they know, that was just the beginning of the incredible food, drinks, and sites they would explore during their quick getaway.
To kick off their trip, the ladies went on a Flambeaux bicycle tour, during which they excitedly pointed out the iconic eatery Café Du Monde, passed the Mississippi river, and stopped to see St. Louis cathedral. After working up an appetite, their final destination on the tour was Acme Oyster House. At the lively restaurant, the group ordered grilled oysters, boo fries, and fried alligator, which even "baby vegan" Porsha Williams was excited to try. "I'm a baby vegan, so when it comes to delicacies, I will try them. I'm not gonna be like, 'Oh, I can't do that,' knowing I'm a baby vegan," she explained. "No, babies make mistakes and you just clean 'em up later."
The following day, the group headed to the Moe Joe Gallery for a "bounce and twerk class" before Drew Sidora surprised everyone with a cooking class at Liberty's Kitchen. While some of the cast members were initially hesitant about cooking their own dinner on their vacation, they became much more excited when they discovered Big Freedia would be leading the class for the day. After working hard to make the delicious meal, which included Big Freedia's "booty poppin' potatoes", the ladies were beyond impressed with the results.
While the trip also included some notable drama and an intense storm, the Atlanta Housewives clearly made the most of their quick visit to New Orleans by packing their days with amazing food, breathtaking landmarks, and the most fun activities.
