Porsha Williams Reveals She Lost 10 Pounds as a "Born-Again Vegan"
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member is opening up about returning to a "baby vegan" lifestyle.
Spending the last several months at home has caused many people to make big changes to their daily lives, and Porsha Williams is certainly one of them. "My big news in my house is that I am a born-again vegan," The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member shared on the September 27 premiere of Bravo's Chat Room. "Baby vegan, to be exact."
The Real Housewives of Potomac's Gizelle Bryant, Summer House's Hannah Berner, and Below Deck alum Kate Chastain were a bit confused by the term, so Porsha was happy to share more about her new lifestyle. "Baby vegan is basically a vegan that is completely plant-based, so I'm about 99.9 percent vegan," she shared. "Meaning if the Lord say, 'Today you can have that cheese on that salad,' then I am not going to pick it off because that would be against what the Lord wants for me."
With that, Porsha's cohosts had a bit of fun at her expense. "The Lord is important and does not care about your cheese, honey," Gizelle quipped, while Hannah jokingly asked, "Are those flowers behind you your dinner?" Kate, meanwhile, launched into a story about a bad date she once had with someone who followed a vegan diet.
Despite a bit of lighthearted teasing from Gizelle, Kate, and Hannah, Porsha is proud of her accomplishments thus far as a "baby vegan," declaring, "I've actually lost about 10 pounds."
After her first vegan attempt in 2017, Porsha revealed earlier this month that she was returning to the diet plan as she asked her followers for their best vegan food tips. After taking some suggestions, one breakfast in particular especially excited Porsha. "This vegan 'omelette' was bussing !!! I’ll learn how to flip it later," she wrote at the time on Instagram while showing off the meal. "Thank you guys for the suggestion...send me more things to eat."
Bravo's Chat Room continues with new episodes on Sundays and Mondays at 10:30/9:30c through October 12.
