Porsha Williams Opens Up About Leaving Her House To Move In with Simon Guobadia
"It does feel like I'm leaving a piece of Porsha," The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared of moving in with her fiancé.
Porsha Williams is ready to start a new chapter of her life in a beautiful new home. In May, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum announced that she is engaged to Simon Guobadia, and on the November 28 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha’s Family Matters, the couple looked for a new place to live together.
Although Porsha was incredibly excited to find a home with Simon, she had mixed feelings about making the move to Atlanta. "When I told my sister I was moving to Atlanta, she was like, 'What?'" Porsha recalled to Simon. "Nobody has been able to get me to move from Duluth."
In an interview during the episode, Porsha explained why deciding to move out of her house was a major moment for her. "My home for me has been a manifestation of my independence," she said. "Me working hard, being able to afford a home like this in a gated community, raising my daughter on my own, it has been very fulfilling to me. It does feel like I'm leaving a piece of Porsha."
However, she added, "I'm turning 40, alright? I want to move with Simon because I'm ready to settle down."
During the episode, the couple toured a $2,275,000 7-bedroom house with a two-story great room. The 6,200-square-foot home also featured floor-to-ceiling windows and an incredible backyard pool. Although Porsha liked the "openness" of the home, she was looking for something a bit more similar to their home in Costa Rica. "The house in Costa Rica has me spoiled," she admitted. "I want that vibe. It has to have that oomph. Like, when you walk in the door, it's like, bam!"
