Shereé Whitfield Explains Why Martell Holt Didn't Pay for Her Birthday Dinner
The RHOA cast member explained why Martell should not have picked up the bill while celebrating her birthday with a group of friends.
In The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 After Show video above, Shereé Whitfield's birthday dinner was a hot topic. However, rather than talking about the food or any buzz-worthy drama, the RHOA ladies had a lot to say about who paid (or didn't pay) for the bill.
During Season 15 Episode 14 of RHOA, Kandi Burruss explained she heard Martell Holt was "asking all the ladies for a Cash App to pay for that dinner." In the video above, Kenya Moore declares, "Everyone thought that he should have picked up the bill."
Shereé disagrees, explaining in the clip, "At the end of the day, it was just a little much for anybody to think that they were gonna come to my birthday party and not bring me a gift, and not do this, and not do that, and then you think you're gonna get your meal paid for." Additionally, she notes, she and Martell are "not married or anything like that."
The conversation continued on Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 reunion, when host Andy Cohen said to Shereé, "There was a lot of gossip about your birthday: who was invited, who paid the bill."
Shereé was quick to jump in to share her thoughts on the matter. "If I decide to throw something for my birthday, this is my birthday. I'm inviting some of my friends. Martell was an invited guest—" she began, before Andy incorrectly concluded, "You would take care of it."
"Me?" Sheree asked, sounding shocked, as the rest of the ladies erupted in laughter.
Andy explained, "That's how I thought you were going to finish the sentence: 'If I invite people for my birthday, then I'm gonna [pay].'"
To that, Shereé asked, "Why would I pay for my birthday dinner?"
Shereé Whitfield gives an update on the status of her relationship with Martell Holt
During the episode, Andy asked Shereé where she currently stands with Martell. “When he’s with me, we have the most amazing time," she said. "He’s very respectful, but I pulled back a little bit because I’m always getting caught up in his mess."
“We still talk. We still hang out," she continued. "I really, really liked him a lot, but I like me more.”
