Shamea Had the Sweetest Virtual 1st Birthday Party for Porsha's Daughter Pilar
The Real Housewives of Atlanta moms couldn't be together to ring in Pilar's first birthday, but that didn't stop them from sharing "social distance love" to celebrate.
Even as they hunker down at home amid coronavirus (COVID-19), Porsha Williams wanted to make sure that her and Dennis McKinley's daughter Pilar's first birthday featured a party full of memorable moments and cute decor. It seems her best friend Shamea Morton had the same idea for Porsha's little one.
While Pilar may not have been able to be surrounded by an abundance of friends and family on the special day due to people practicing self-isolation and social distancing, she was certainly celebrated from afar. "Omg look what Pj’s bestie and my bestie did for her 1st Birthday," Porsha captioned an Instagram video showing Shamea, Gerald Mwangi, and their daughter, Shya, singing to a printed photo of Pilar on a chair with an emoji-patterned "Happy Birthday" balloon tied to it. Pulling out all the stops, they even got a birthday cake that had "Happy Birthday Pilar" written in pink icing across the top. As they concluded the "Happy Birthday" song, Shya blew out a candle on her friend's behalf. "So fricken cute ! We love you Mwangi Family!!!"
To conclude the adorable post, Porsha added the hashtag: "Social Distance Love."
At home, Pilar had a small group of family to keep the party going. In a different Instagram video that same day, Porsha shared a TikTok video of a family dance party in which everyone showed their moves while wearing "Happy Birthday" headbands. Behind them, celebratory pink and gold balloons in the little one's honor were on full display.
It seems the special day was full of dancing as Porsha shared more clips of the at-home party in multiple rooms of her home. In one video, she moves about her living room, which boasts a colorful playpen for Pilar, with her little one on her hip. As they eventually went to the kitchen, Porsha helped Pilar slide across the chic room's tiled flooring before the baby started to walk and dance on her own alongside her mom. "Dennis let me take [PJ] to her first club ... [Club Quarantine,]" she joked, thanking DJ D-Nice, who was providing the tunes via one of his increasingly-popular Instagram Live sessions. "We all needed this."
"We brought in Pj B day with a two step! Were y’all partying too?" she continued, adding the hashtag: "Social Distancing Dancing."
