Todd Tucker Completely Renovated His New Jersey Condo: See the “Amazing” New Space
Kandi Burruss’ husband showed his newly redone Garden State property, including the bright white kitchen and transformed staircase.
On this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have made it clear that they don’t exactly see eye to eye on Todd’s New Jersey condo.
Todd explained on the show’s May 8 episode that he wanted to “fix up” the Fort Lee property for their kids to one day have, and in the meantime, he proposed, “When we’re in New York, we could actually go there for blocks of time.” However, because Todd previously shared the apartment with an ex, Kandi wasn’t enthused about keeping it. “It’s almost like him rewrapping a gift that he had [given] to an ex-girlfriend, and now I’m supposed to get excited about it,” she said in an episode interview. “Like, stop trying to force it so that we have to go and stay there.”
One person who was excited about it: Kenya Moore. As the cast members went to see the condo on the show’s May 22 episode, Kenya was vocal about the home’s renovation potential. “Let me go in there and redo that condo,” Kenya said with a laugh in an interview. “Gotta demo the bathrooms, you gotta demo the kitchen, you gotta demo the floors… With this size condo, you need about $100,000 to do it properly.”
Ultimately, Todd decided to keep and renovate the apartment. On Part 3 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, host Andy Cohen asked Todd, “What’s the status of your New Jersey condo?” to which he replied, “It looks amazing.”
“He hired me,” Kenya joked. “I did a good job.”
In a self-shot video shown during the reunion, Todd gave a glimpse at the redone space, including the bright white kitchen and eye-catching light fixtures. “The whole kitchen has been done over, downstairs has been done over,” he said. “[And] I did the spiral staircase white.”
