Kyle Richards Just Checked Out, Kourtney Kardashian Just Checked In: Why Are Celebs Obsessed With This Utah Resort?
See Kyle Richards' pics from Amangiri Resort in Utah and you'll know exactly why.
When you think of the ultimate destination for luxury amid unspoiled natural beauty, the first place that comes to your mind may not be Utah... yet. But once you know more about the incredible destination drawing all the celebs to the American west — well, you might get those travel-booking fingers ready stat.
Kyle Richards just returned from one truly epic vacation, having winged away on a private jet with a crew of "some of my favorite people," including husband Mauricio Umansky and jewelry designer pal Sharon Idith, to "one of the most beautiful places on earth." Turns out that place was none other than at the celebrity-beloved Amangiri resort.
Kyle called it a place so beautiful that it took her "breath away." She called it a "must see" that she was compelled to share with other people. Just look at the stunning curving natural landscapes in the Utah and Arizona environs, reminiscent of sculpture by the artist Richard Serra... and a truly superlative backdrop for a champagne toast:
It almost doesn't even look real, does it?
Her Instagram Stories gave an even more vivid video picture:
An Aman property, the five-star Amangiri sits on 600 remote acres in Utah and offers guests a unique combo of what it claims to be, "adrenaline-fueled adventure experiences and a peaceful retreat." Visitors can take in the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, and Monument Valley or stay in and chill at the luxury spa or pool.
The visual drama comes from the intersection of architecture and natural landscape: Its incredible centerpiece is a swimming pool that wraps around a 165-million-year-old rock.
Kim Kardashian is among the celebrities who has gone to the resort for posh accommodation amid relative isolation. And right after Kyle Richards returned from this most recent visit, Kim's sister Kourtney Kardashian whisked her beau off for a surprise birthday celebration at the very same resort. "Wow," she wrote on her Instagram Stories — and that about sums it up.
The resort is marked by clean lines, and done in natural materials. Accommodations include white stone floors, concrete walls, natural wood, and fittings in blackened steel. Every suite has an outdoor lounge and fireplace with wide-open desert views. Some have private pool and roof terraces.
Ready to book? (We are too.) It will cost you: Prices of course vary based on date, but expect to spend a couple to a few thousand dollars per night on a resort experience so beloved by celebrities accustomed to nothing short of the ultimate luxury.
