Paige DeSorbo Shows How to Dress Like a Beverly Hills Housewife... for Less!
The Summer House fashionista proves anyone can dress like a Beverly Hills Housewife on any budget.
When Summer House's Paige DeSorbo isn't lounging on unicorn pool floats in the Hamptons, she's a fashion writer with a specialty in creating expensive-looking outfits for a wallet-friendly price tag. We at The Lookbook tasked the fashionista with assembling fabulous ensembles inspired by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Read on to learn how to recreate their looks on any budget.
Do you ever wish you could raid your favorite Housewives' closets? Yeah, same... but we might get arrested for that, so instead let's just recreate their looks — and even better, we can recreate them on a budget. (That sounds way better to me than an orange jumpsuit. Not chic.)
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills might be in my top three for best dressed franchises — who am I kidding, they're number one. From Dorit Kemsley’s ever-changing hairstyles to Erika Girardi's killer designer looks, they all serve up something a little different, but they definitely all know how to shop. If you’re anything like me, you love a bargain and the thrill of a good find on the sale rack, and so by combining that passion with the Real Housewives' inspo, we can recreate some of the best Real Housewives of Beverly Hills looks all for less! I know, I know, it sounds too good to be true — but trust me, it can be done.
My first look is inspired by the one and only Dorit Kemsley. Dorit took the little black dress to a whole new level when she showed up to Camille's 50th birthday party. Her hair was pulled back in a slick low pony, allowing the dress to have a real moment, and I respect that, Dorit.
Happily, I found a similar dress for a fraction of the price. My duplicate is from Choosy (Blair dress, $65), and gives that same sleek look with accentuated shoulders and a little glitz and glamour with diamond buttons.
Next, from that very same party, Kyle Richards graced us with her presence in a full red ensemble. Kyle does not shy away from bold colors and prints, and for that I am thankful.
I did my own spin on this look from Choosy (Saffi Crop Top, $45, and the Saffi Skirt, $45) and made it a little more casual and beachy. The best part about a two piece is you can get the best bang for your buck. Pair this skirt with a different top or even use it as a bathing suit cover-up.
My favorite fashionista and spirit animal is the gorgeous Erika Jayne. She is constantly changing her look and showing sides to her we all wish we could pull off. She wore one of the coolest looks to a meeting: a pale pink utility jumpsuit, and it has forever changed how I view business meetings.
I found a similar style from Pretty Little Thing (Pale Pink Tortoise Button Chambray Jumpsuit, $70).
If we're talking about fashion, we certainty can’t forget the queen herself, Lisa Vanderpump. Lisa brought her English elegance to the Bahamas in a floppy white hat, and I knew I immediately needed it.
Great oversized hats are hard to find, especially on a budget, but luckily I've ended that headache with this identical white full hat from Forever 21 (Shadow-Striped Floppy Hat, $19.90).
Lets do one more Dorit look just for fun, shall we? Dorit wore one of the best pool party looks I think I've ever seen, and it made me even more envious of her fashion sense.
Her Dior visor was the inspiration for this reflective Forever 21 visor (Reflective Sun Visor, $17.90) and Choosy front tie top (Milan Top, $55).
I wish I could get Dorit’s perfect body for less, too!
