Erika Girardi Isn't Interested in Your Opinion of Her Marriage

No one ever really knows what's happening in someone else's marriage...even when that marriage is captured for all to see on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And while Erika Girardi is aware that people have opinions about her and husband Tom Girardi (and their 32-year age difference), she isn't interested in hearing them.

"I don't know if people still doubt my marriage or not, but it's interesting," Erika said in Tuesday's episode of RHOBH. "I'm not really worried about other people's marriages, I don't know why they should be worried about mine. They're not paying my bills, so why would I give a f--- what they think?"

And with 17 years of marriage under their belt, it would seem Erika and Tom are doing something right. And while they now subscribe to what may seem like an untraditional marriage—she's often out of town performing as her pop icon alter ego Erika Jayne—she recently revealed she spent the first 10 to 12 years of their marriage by his side.

Now It's Time for Erika to Do Her Thing

But their busy schedules don't seem to be hurting the marriage one bit. In fact, Erika says there's an upside to it.

"People are always like, 'Oh you guys don't see each other a lot,' but when we do see each other, it's 100% full-on attention. This is what people don't understand: It's not a detriment to the relationship, it's actually helpful. It's better than someone being in your face all the time and you're not even present."
