Dorit Kemsley: Cheers To New Beginnings

"Erika and I are now in a good place, and I’m ready to make new memories together."

By Dorit Kemsley
Meet Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave

Hello darlings,

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesday, November 19 at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

I’m back! Did you miss me? While last season was a bit of a bumpy rollercoaster, that’s not to say I didn’t learn a lot about myself and the ladies during the ride. Still, I’m thrilled to not be the new girl in town and I’m even more excited to be back for round two! Joining us for season eight is Teddi Mellencamp, who I share a mutual friend with and immediately hit it off with. A mom to a son and a daughter close in age to Jagger and Phoenix, Teddi is a woman I feel I can build a friendship with. The fact that she hosted a mommy-and-me music class for mothers, some of who were complete strangers to her, speaks volumes about her character—and I find her very easy to connect with.

Watching Jagger make strides in his speech and seeing him blossom into the little boy he is today makes me incredibly proud. We’ve come such a long way with Jagger and his speech and I feel so grateful and blessed to have made such progress with him.

A fresh season in our newly renovated home was the loveliest start to last night’s episode. PK, the kids, and I spent four months in Miami as our home was getting a mini facelift. Spending quality time with my precious angels, what more could a mom ask for? Although we had a lovely time, it was nice to be home and get back into the swing of things.

I was delighted to introduce Teddi to Lisa V during lunch. Who would’ve thought Teddi would say yes to going to Vegas with us? To be honest, when Kyle told me she was planning a trip to celebrate my, Erika’s and Lisa R’s birthdays, I was equal parts grateful, excited, and nervous. With Erika being invited, I thought it might be awkward (it was written all over my face at the airport when she arrived). And in light of Lisa R’s defamatory statements last season, of course I had my reluctance about going on the trip. Similarly, my ongoing quarrel with Erika was a tough pill to swallow, because I never meant to hurt her, but as they say, time heals all wounds – and I truly believe it has. Erika and I are now in a good place, and I’m ready to make new memories together.

Getting the glam treatment from my squad was so fun before heading to Kyle and Lisa V’s hotel suite. In my glitzy headband and little black dress, I was ready to have a good time, but when Lisa R walked in, I felt jumpy. You’ll have to wait until next week to find out how the rest of our night goes, but something about this season gives me good vibes and I’m optimistic about my relationships with the women. Plus, jetting to Sin City for some birthday pre-game and good glam—who can say no to that? This girl can’t!

See you next week!

Much love,
Dorit xo
