You Need to See Crystal Kung Minkoff’s “Insane” Custom Cake
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member received a sweet treat that will make you do a double take.
Life is looking pretty sweet for Crystal Kung Minkoff — or is it savory? On February 8, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom took to Instagram to share a photo of a cake… or beef noodles. It’s hard to tell exactly what the photo depicts, but Crystal explained it all in her caption.
“My love [Amirah Kassem] designed this insane cake after my favorite food Taiwanese beef noodle soup,” she wrote. A quick piece of cake history: Amirah founded the Los Angeles bakery Flour Shop, and she doesn’t just dabble in faux noodles. As Amirah’s Instagram bio proudly proclaims, she is the “creator of the Rainbow Explosion Cake.”
But back to the beefy cake. Crystal, who seemed to be prepping for a party, added “Have you ever?!?!” while showing a close-up of the confection. It’s a fair question, and we can easily respond no. We have never seen a cake that has us wondering: Is that frosting? Or are those actual noodles? Crystal shared a second look at the hyperrealistic cake, adding the caption, “Come!! On!!!!”
Crystal’s latest cake is just another example of her fondness for over-the-top confections. (She’s not the first Real Housewife who’s had a love affair with ornate cakes. Check out the clip above!)
At her 2022 birthday bash, Crystal had a cake that captured her entire past year. “Of course of course tequila and chili peppers adorned it,” the spicy margarita savant wrote. In 2021, she blew out candles on a birthday cake that was decked with flamingos.
Speaking of birthdays, Crystal recently celebrated her 40th in style. On February 4, she shared a peek at her celebratory outfit. Wearing a gown that was dripping with emerald sparkles, the Real Coco co-founder was all smiles. And apparently, she had cake on her mind… the metaphorical kind, at least. “Having my cake and eating it, too,” she wrote.
