Erika Girardi and Denise Richards Auction off Iconic RHOBH Items for a Good Cause
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies are donating "very personal" and "timeless" pieces straight from their closets and homes.
Erika Girardi and Denise Richards are donating some very special items for an important cause. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members have joined an auction led by eBay and The Strategist in which all proceeds will go to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
For her auction item, Denise chose the unforgettable purple dress she wore for her debut as a Real Housewife in the title sequence for RHOBH Season 9. Denise told The Strategist she "gravitated toward" the "timeless silhouette and sexy simplicity" of the stunning cocktail gown.
"I always say that it’s more important for the woman to wear the dress instead of the dress wearing her," she shared. "I just felt so classy in it, and I hope that the winning bidder (who will also receive a RHOBH [S]eason [10] cast poster and photograph that I signed) feels just as good wearing it as I did."
Erika's auction piece is none other than a signed copy of her limited-edition, 120-page coffee-table book, which she created with photographer Marco Bollinger. "The book was a gift to thank those who started the Erika Jayne project with me and remind them of all the great shit we did together. Basically, if you were featured in it, you got it, but that’s it — I only had 100 made, and I kept ten for myself. This copy is from my private collection," she told The Strategist.
Erika shared that the book titled Erika Jayne is "very personal, with lots of intimate photographs, some of which the public hasn’t seen before." She added, "Inside there’s a mix — from album art to promotional photos to behind-the-scenes photos from rehearsals to shots in the glam room to shots during sound-checks to photos of intimate moments like prayer circles before shows to actual performances in Miami, New York City, and San Diego to stills from music videos to pictures of me at San Francisco Pride to handwritten notes describing where I was and what was going on."
Both items are available for auction now at eBay starting at $50.
