Leave it to Dorit Kemsley to bring one of the fashion industry's trickiest trends to the Bravo universe. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills style lover is all about pushing the envelope when it comes to her look — and yet, she always succeeds. A Chanel-clad mall cop look for a casual night out? Nailed it. A Dior plastic visor for non-beach related activities? No problem. And now, Dorit is stepping up her shoe game with one of the season's most unexpected style switch-ups.
It all started for us on October 15 when Dorit showed us her interpretation of pumpkin patch chic complete with Chanel overalls and double Dutch-style braids. There were so many details to take in that we almost missed her kooky accessory swap. In the shots, Dorit posed with her designer jumpsuit with mismatched Chanel sneakers.
Yup, Dorit wore one red and one blue colorway Chanel, low-rise sneakers together and we'll never look at our shoe collection the same way. But before you assume that Dorit is simply doubling her order at the French fashion house, think again. The playful kicks that feature graffiti-inspired doodles and writing are actually from the sold-out Chanel Pharrell collaboration between the luxe label and musician Pharrell.
But it seems that her love of swapping out one half of a set of shoes was just beginning. On October 19, Dorit shared a Dior-filled photo sesh on her Instagram, and we spied one neon yellow and one bright pink suede pump worn together as part of her Dior logo-laden outfit.
Every time Dorit dons a mismatched pair of shoes, a micro-trend gets its wings.
