Kyle Richards Debuts 2 New Wrist Tattoos, and People Have Questions
They're real! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member confirmed her two new pieces of ink are indeed permanent.
In recent years, Kyle Richards has been branching out with her style quite a bit. She chopped bangs into her hairstyle in 2020 (for her role in the Halloween Kills) and admitted that people had "strong feelings" about her new look. In 2021, an out-of-character manicure — neon yellow stiletto claws, to be exact — had her asking herself, "Who am I??" Most recently, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member debuted some fresh ink on her Instagram page, and once again, the internet had lots of questions.
On August 31, the Kyle x Shahida co-designer shared a selfie of her confessional look on Instagram. In the photo, the mom of four looked stunning in a sparkling, sequin black long sleeve top, which she paired with a sleek updo and silver smoky eyeshadow. But the pièce de résistance of the snap was without a doubt two new stamps on Kyle's wrists — a black outline of a heart and the roman numeral 18 — which fans immediately inquired about.
Mostly, people wanted to know if the tattoos were real, and how long Kyle has had them. Kyle addressed questions in the comments confirming that the ink was indeed permanent and the tats are "new." In a subsequent Instagram Story, she tagged New York City- and Miami-based tattoo studio Upift Tattoo and thanked the artist "for being so nice and patient."
Kyle's castmate Garcelle Beauvais has a tattoo on her wrist as well: a black butterfly. Last year, Garcelle opened up about the meaningful stamp. "Got a butterfly tattoo in honor of my mom," she shared on Instagram, adding that the design was created by Enigma Tattoo owner and artist Katrina Jackson.
