Lisa Rinna and Her Daughters Shut Down Dennis Basso's Runway in Electric Eveningwear
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mother-daughter trio took on the runway in stunning, matching jacquard ensembles topped with sleek ponytails and neon pink lips.
Dennis Basso's Autumn/Winter 2020 New York Fashion Week show was full of delightful surprises. With a completely new vision for what Basso dubbed the "international modern roaring '20s," the designer experimented with cocktail and evening dresses in tweed, lace, and silk fabrics, many embellished with beaded embroidery and deco-style motifs, as well as sporty daywear. However, the most incredible moment had to be when Lisa Rinna and daughters Amelia Gray Hamlin and Delilah Belle Hamlin closed the show in complementary ensembles.
Backstage, Basso told BravoTV.com that the theme of his show was transgenerational fashion. "It's about how women of all ages are taking cues in fashion from their daughters, their mothers — and this never prevailed years ago. The young people dressed one way, the middle-aged people dressed one way, the older people dressed one way. Now, people are taking cues from different generations and I wanted to show this in my collection," he said. Who better to represent multigenerational fashion than the stylish Rinna-Hamlin women?
"I've been friends with Lisa and Harry [Hamlin] for close to 25 years," Basso revealed. As for his decision to cast The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mother-daughter trio for the grand finale, he explained, Lisa, Delilah and Amelia "represent the feeling and the mood of what the collection is. So, that sort of ties it all in together."
To round out the show, sisters Amelia and Delilah stepped on the catwalk, strutting their stuff side by side: Amelia donned an embellished babydoll dress with fuchsia accents while Delilah sported a fuchsia jacquard top and embellished shorts.
Then, came Lisa: The Beverly Hills stunner graced the runway in a berry evening gown with a beaded jacquard overskirt matching her daughters.
All three ladies wore their hair in sleek, sky-high ponytails and sported fierce neon pink pouts for the epic fashion moment.
Completing the stylish family affair, Lisa, Delilah, and Amelia returned to the runway to escort Basso for his curtain call while Sister Sledge's "We Are Family" played in the background.
