Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's Beach House Was Hit with a "Tidal Onslaught"
"First time I've seen anything like this," the RHOBH cast member's husband, Edwin, wrote during the incident.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Edwin Arroyave family's trips to their Dana Point beach house are often filled with serene moments taking in their incredible ocean view. However, as seen in Edwin's Instagram Stories, the water came shockingly close to the property on July 5, causing the Skyline Security Management CEO to grow a bit concerned.
"Our beach house got hit with a tidal onslaught," he captioned a series of videos showing the waves crashing in front of numerous beachfront abodes. "First time I've seen anything like this in the 6 years that I've owned the property."
To protect their houses, members of the local community lined the front of the homes with wood boards and sand bags. "Thank God for my incredible neighbors," Edwin wrote.
As seen in the video above, the home has five bedrooms and multiple outdoor spaces including a patio and deck. "We love coming here," Teddi told BravoTV.com. "Because it's kind of the best of both worlds."
The close proximity to the water is one of Teddi's favorite features of the home. "This is our master bedroom which I absolutely love," she said in the video above, "because I'm able to open the sliding glass doors and hear the ocean." When they head outside to the beach, Teddi explained that the family loves to play volleyball, ride bikes, play in the sand, and create "rock formations."
Although it's unclear if the vacation home suffered any damage, Edwin was able to enjoy a pool day with his family back at their cliffside primary home. As seen in a sweet clip posted by Teddi, who could be heard laughing from a few feet away, Edwin stood in the water grinning as one of his daughters successfully threw a hula hoop on top of him.
