Mauricio Explains Why He Didn’t Acknowledge the Hiltons When Discussing His Career Path
Kyle Richards’ husband, Mauricio Umansky, shared on WWHL why he “chose not to mention” the Hiltons’ role in his early career on Buying Beverly Hills.
Mauricio Umansky has appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for more than a decade, and now Kyle Richards’ husband is sharing a closer look at his business, The Agency, on the new Netflix series Buying Beverly Hills.
On the premiere episode of Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio opened up about his upbringing and the career path that led him to open The Agency. However, when Mauricio appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on November 30, the titular host explained that something about Mauricio’s explanation left many viewers confused.
Reading an at-home viewer’s question that he “got a lot” from others as well, Andy asked, “Why is there no mention of the Hilton family on Buying Beverly Hills when you were speaking about how you got your start in real estate?”
“I mean, that’s a great question. The reality is I just… I didn’t feel like it needed to be mentioned," he said in part. "There's enough going on...I didn't need to bring it into something new."
“It was really all about me… and about us [at The Agency] and not about anybody else,” he continued. “So it was just something I just chose not to mention.”
