As a professional accountability coach, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is a fitness role model — and as such, fans and followers hang on her every diet tip and trick. So it makes sense that folks would be eager to hear from Teddi on the controversial Keto diet — which has already triggered impassioned opinions from Real Housewives such as Tamra Judge (anti), Cynthia Bailey (pro), and Gina Kirschenheiter (anti).
The Feast caught up with Teddi at The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere party in West Hollywood, and asked her to weigh in for the record. "My thoughts are: Do what works for you and your lifestyle," she said. "For me, I’ve tried a bunch of different diets and all these things and I’ve fluctuated weight my entire life. So for me, I’ve found a lifestyle change that works for me and it’s something that I can do effortlessly which is just eating clean. And I’m not having to measure things — so I have healthy carbs I have fruits, I have veggies, I have clean foods. For me, that’s more sustainable for my life."
Teddi's official verdict on Keto? "It’s not what I practice and not what I suggest any of my clients, but to each his own."
