Kary Brittingham's daughter Olivia is a rising star in the fashion industry. The Real Housewives of Dallas student recently followed her dreams to enroll in fashion school at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. But before she left for college, the stylish teen stitched up her own prom dress.
As we saw on a recent episode of RHOD, Olivia didn't leave herself much time to make the dress, and wasn't entirely sure it would be finished for prom night. (Sounds like a design challenge straight out of Bravo's Project Runway.) But in the end, her ace sewing and design skills saved the day.
In a recent Instagram post, Kary showed off the final results of her daughter's labor. The silky, lime-green dress fit Olivia like a glove. It had a square neck and a perfectly placed slit, which offered a peek at Olivia's cherry-red shoes.
"So proud of my beautiful daughter Olivia for making her prom dress and following her dream! She worked so hard to get into design school," Kary wrote. "She has the biggest heart and I love her so much."
It looks like the post might have won Olivia a future client, too. In the comments section, Kameron Westcott wrote: "Olivia love this so much!!" So, just one question, Olivia: Can you make this in pink?
