The model and her husband, Douglas Nunes, welcomed their first child on Saturday, November 2. “One of the most amazing emotional and hardest days of my life,” she described of the happy news on Instagram.

Now that mom and baby are settled in, Joanna is opening up her home’s doors to share what look she decided on for her daughter’s nursery. According to Joanna, she wanted to make the room feel girly but not too frilly.

I wanted to make it a princess theme, but without it becoming over-the-top and cheesy,” she told PEOPLE. “We kept it super warm and elegant where she’ll be able to use it as her bedroom when she gets a little older, as the Evolur crib turns into a regular-size bed!”

As captured in the photos published on PEOPLE, Joanna opted for an entirely pink and white color palette. The soft, pastel pink hues of the walls stand out next to the white furniture, including a 5-in-1 crib, a double dresser, and a glider chair perfect for rocking little Asha-Leigh to sleep.

The room is filled with all kinds of sweet details, from the pink bows adorning the bedposts and standing lamp to the framed pink, gray, and white prints hanging above the crib. Joanna also made sure to add some personalized touches, such as the pink-and-white striped baby blanket embroidered with the baby’s name.

“I’m in love with Asha-Leigh’s nursery. It is simply breathtaking,” Joanna said of the room. “We wanted it to be done simple, elegant, cozy and with class. Anyone that walks in says it’s a dream nursery for a little girl.”

After getting a glimpse of the adorable space, we have to agree!
