Larsa Pippen’s romance with Marcus Jordan has proven to be quite the conversation-starter since the two went public in January.

People immediately weighed in on the age difference between The Real Housewives of Miami cast member, who's 16 years older than her "forever Valentine." There were also comments about Marcus' connection to Larsa's ex, Scottie Pippen. Then, in August, after Larsa was spotted wearing a diamond band on her left hand, the couple had to explain that it was simply a promise ring, Page Six reported. (Although the lovebirds added that the topic of marriage has, however, come up.)

Those marriage rumors arose in an amusing way in the Season 6 opener for The Real Housewives of Miami, airing Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

The indirect mention of marriage popped up when Larsa and Marcus were hanging out on a boat with Housewife Lisa Hochstein and her boyfriend, Jody Glidden.

It was a sunny day and Lisa snapped pics of Larsa and Marcus to mark the occasion: "Love is in the air,” she said, as she took photos.

“I love the commentary,” said Marcus.

But Larsa was quick to add that the commentary is true.

Marcus and I have been dating for about 10 months. It was like a friendship that evolved into more,” Larsa told producers. “It wasn't like, ‘Let's set the internet on fire. Let’s just get together.’ I kind of was hesitant, but I think the more time we spent together in Miami, the more realized he’s my guy. He’s not anyone else’s guy.”

Marcus, it turns out, is also an ace photographer, Larsa bragged to Lisa and Jody.

“I try,” Marcus said. “I’ll hide behind a tree. I’ll  get down on one knee.”

The mention of Marcus assuming the position as if he's going to pop the big question prompted Larsa to say with a laugh, “I’m thinking he’s gonna propose and all he’s doing is taking a photo.”

Marcus then joked about what Larsa can expect when she does get that proposal moment: "23 carats or bigger!" he laughed to Larsa.

Larsa also refuted the idea that Marcus is uncomfortable with all the attention their relationship has gotten.

I think Marcus knew what he was signing up for,” said Larsa, when she was asked by RHOM producers how she thinks Marcus feels about outsiders scrutinizing their relationship, their ages, their jewelry, everything.

“He knew being with me was not going to be easy," said Larsa, adding that she accentuates the positive. "I’m not focused on the haters. I feel like the people that are in my life and Marcus's life that matter are happy that we’re together.”

Besides their high-profile romance, Larsa and Marcus (the son of Michael Jordan, her ex-husband Scottie Pippen's former NBA teammate ) co-host the podcast Separation Anxiety, where they talk about sex, love, and essentially everything else to do with relationships. We're excited to see what's next for them on RHOM!

Keep up with what’s next for Larsa and the whole cast on The Real Housewives of Miami, airing Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
