Faux Friends

Caroline questions the authenticity of one friendship on the show.

By Caroline Manzo

Hey everyone! So here we are at week three, how are we doing?

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Peacock and the Bravo app.

Why do I feel like this was my "bitch" episode? I felt like I was constantly "barking."

I am pleased to say that Lauren has nearly completed all of her courses at Artistic Academy and loves it! You have to understand that Al and I saw something in Lauren. Sometimes as a parent you have to give your child that little push, enabling them to bypass their insecurities, and follow their dreams. Not only has Lauren taken the FULL course in Cosmetology at Artistic, she has also taken some specialty courses to expand her portfolio. Now I'm going to shock you...Lauren actually WAXES a male friend of hers HAIRY back once a month! That's my girl!

When Jacqueline came to my home asking my opinion regarding the car, I spoke from my heart because I care. One thing you will learn about me is that I tell it like it is. I never would have given my opinion if I wasn't asked. I love Jacqueline, I love Chris, and yes, I love Ashley too. I see the struggle and frustrations that Chris and Jacqueline have in dealing with Ashley. A car is a huge responsibility and a privilege, and it is not to be expected, but earned. I can't blame Chris for trying, and yes, Jacqueline was against it. Kudos to her.

How funny are Jamie and Dina? "Rooster down, rooster down!" Dina is struggling between having her career and being a stay at home mom. I can't tell you how this story ends, you will just have to watch and see. Lexi, my baby girl. She is a riot, and she is twelve. Give her some slack, she is a good girl, so take everything she says with a grain of salt. As far as Dina's lips go...THEY ARE REAL! I HAVE THE PICTURES FROM WHEN SHE IS FIVE YEARS OLD TO PROVE IT!

Teresa is the modern day Lucille Ball. She is an absolute riot! I always laugh when Teresa is around. Did you see all of that luggage for Gia? Hysterical! Only Teresa. She is a good mommy that wants to make her daughter happy. I will say one thing - this is what GIA WANTS.

I find it troubling to watch Jacqueline and Danielle's friendship unfold on screen. It appears as though the Laurita/Manzo family is very critical of new people. That is far from the truth - in fact, it is actually quite the opposite. Growing up, my parents' home had an open door policy. All were welcome. The same holds true for my home now. However, there are times when this doesn't apply. This is one of them. Jacqueline always tries to see the good in everyone, and she looks at both sides of the story. I think Jacqueline needs to take off the rose-colored glasses and see things for what they are. Something tells me all will be fine. Watch and see.

Danielle - "One day all fake people will be exposed." I. CAN'T. WAIT.

OK, that's if for this week, thanks for watching!
