A Family in Crisis

Caroline hopes for a peaceful resolution to the Ashley drama.

By Caroline Manzo

Hello again! It seems as if the days are flying by. Where did my summer go? Before you know it, there will be snow on the ground for real!

Quite an episode, wouldn’t you agree? I believe that the New Jersey Housewives are a pretty gutsy bunch; we put all of our hopes, fears, challenges, and heartache out there for the world to see. I’m hoping that through us you see a little bit of yourselves and know that whatever crazy stuff you have going on in your life, there are others going through the same thing. It’s oddly comforting.

As for Ashley and Jacqueline, I think I said it all in my last blog. Let’s hope for the best for these two. They continue to work on their relationship, and I wish them a peaceful resolve.

I was proud of Lauren in her handling of the t-shirt saga with Ashley. She spoke the truth and expressed her frustrations, but at the same time showed Ashley that she still believed in her. Keep watching…

Richie was hilarious in the scene with Zen Jen -- his expression was priceless!  I’m right there with you, Richie. However, a little smudging here and there doesn’t bother me, I’ll take all the help I can get!

The goddess party was lovely. Kathy puts her whole heart into her cooking, and her passion is evident in the presentation. The bracelets were a pleasant surprise, and I couldn’t accept mine without apologizing for my closed-minded opinion of Kathy prior to knowing her. It was based solely on the events that occurred at The Brownstone during the Posche Fashion show, and that was wrong. P.S. I have the photos of everyone shaking their asses, how much do you think they’re worth?

In closing I want to talk about the scene with Jacqueline, Chris, and Ashley. This was difficult to watch, and I’m hoping that the viewing audience looks at it for what it is -- a family in crisis trying to hold on for dear life. It’s a daily struggle, but they are committed to making it work.

Having said that I have a favor to ask -- be nice and try to understand.  Let’s all wish them peace and love.

See you next week! As always, thank you so much for watching.
