Danielle Staub To Launch Her Own Cooking Channel After RHONJ Departure
The Real Housewives of New Jersey friend shared the big news about her post-RHONJ plans on WWHL.
Danielle Staub's January 8 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen left Andy with a lot to digest. He knew that The Real Housewives of New Jersey friend had an announcement to make in the Clubhouse that evening, but he was surprised when Danielle declared, "I will be never returning as a Housewife again."
Never? That's pretty serious. But the Jersey OG maintains it's true: "It is time for me to leave and do something that I want to do that makes my heart happy every day."
To back up, last night's episode of RHONJ showed Margaret Josephs and Danielle in a vicious fight. It would seem that neither Housewife had a particularly happy heart at that moment. (We'd call that a spoiler alert, but let's face it: This has been brewing for some time. "Your husband's in the pool.")
On WWHL, Danielle told Andy that she's been using some pasta therapy to cope with stressors. And now that she's ready to exit Housewives, the home chef plans to put more focus on the activity that brings her relief — and feeds her family.
"I am going to start my own cooking channel," she announced. "I love [cooking], Andy. Cooking is therapy to me, so I'm basically calling it cooking therapy. And I find my peace in the kitchen." She continued, "I cook for some of [my daughter] Jillian's friends. They're over weekly ... There's up to 30 kids that might stop by and I wanna have food for everybody. I promised there would always be pasta." Now, she's ready to share that pasta with a wider audience. "You heard it here first," Andy said, still reeling from the never. Watch the clip above to hear Danielle make her big announcement.
And in the meantime, Danielle has already started posting some "Danielle Staub's Kitchen" videos to IGTV. (Eventually, she says in one clip, she'll start posting directly to YouTube.) Interestingly enough, all her recipes are gluten and dairy free. "My family and I collectively are allergic to gluten and dairy... there are safety precautions I follow to assure no cross contamination occurs," she wrote in the caption of a December 25 video. For now, keep scrolling to watch the Jersey chef whip up meatballs, apple sauce, and lasagna.
