Jennifer Aydin's RHONJ Reunion Hairstyle Is Inspired By Her Brother
The RHONJ mom revealed the special meaning behind her rainbow-colored hair accessories.
From her unforgettable interview outfits to her well-known love of Chanel, Jennifer Aydin is all about bringing her fashion A-game. So it’s no shocker that The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom looked ultra glam for the show’s Season 10 reunion, rocking a purple crystal minidress and a sleek blowout accented with some colorful hair jewelry. Not only did her glitzy hairdo look fierce, but it turns out that there’s also a meaningful reason behind the style, as Jennifer revealed on Instagram.
Jennifer took to social media to share a closer look at her sparkly ensemble. As can be seen in the photo, the mom of five complemented her blinged-out dress with long, pin-straight tresses. Topping off the glossy blowout? Three, shiny rainbow-colored threads, which Jennifer revealed she added in order to show support for the LGBTQ community and, specifically, her brother, Steven, who is openly gay.
“I wear my hair for you @stevenaltinel," Jennifer wrote alongside the photo.
Jennifer has spoken up to advocate for her brother several times during the current season of RHONJ. In a recent episode, she even confronted her mom over her failure to recognize and accept her brother’s sexuality.
"You know, it's something that my mother has struggled with," Jennifer later explained in The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 10 After Show. "This is the first time ever that any of us have pushed my mother to face it, like head on, so I wasn't surprised at all.”
Now, Jennifer is once again making her support for Steven — and the LGBTQ community at large — known by rocking pride-themed accessories during the reunion. As she wrote in a snapshot shared on her Instagram Story, “Looking forward to the day of full acceptance.”
