Melissa Gorga Explains Why Joe Was “Livid” When She Got Her Lips Done
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom shared why her husband was “so stressed out” about one of her cosmetic procedures.
Melissa Gorga has shared in the past how she enjoys a cosmetic enhancement here and there, but one procedure in particular didn’t sit well with her husband, Joe Gorga — at first.
“Obviously, since Season 3 [of The Real Housewives of New Jersey], I’ve had a nose job — everybody knows this. I’ve definitely done Botox, I’ve done fillers,” the mom of three began on the January 27 episode of Jeff Lewis Live.
After host Jeff Lewis noted how “good” her lips looked and wondered if Joe liked kissing them “better,” Melissa let him in on a little behind-the-scenes secret.
“He likes these new ones even though it took him a minute to actually accept them,” she revealed on the show. “He was so stressed out when I got on the show that I was gonna turn into some, like, ‘glamazon’ […] he was like, ‘Now you’re gonna start with the lips, then it’s gonna be this, I’m losing my wife.’ So he didn’t want me to get lips, and I just got them one day and came home with them and he was livid.”
“But he still had sex with you?” Jeff jokingly asked, to which Melissa quipped, “Of course he did!”
Jeff’s radio show isn’t the first time the boutique owner has divulged the details of her past cosmetic procedures. Back in 2016, while speaking exclusively with The Daily Dish, Melissa discussed her rhinoplasty and shared why she had been keeping the procedure under wraps for years.
“It’s a personal thing,” she stated at the time. “It’s not hurting anyone. It’s your own business […] It’s something that’s personal to me. It’s one of the very few things that is personal in my life at this point.”
