Teresa Giudice's New Hair Color Is a Return to Her "Italian-Girl Roots"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom is "tired of blonde," and underwent an eight hour, two-day hair transformation.
Teresa Giudice is over it. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom has been playing with her hair hue over the past year, and according to a recent interview, she's ready to go back to her "Italian-girl roots" with a fresh, darker shade of rich brown. Teresa and her longtime hairstylist Lucia Casazza chatted with Page Six Style about all things hair and how 2020 is the year of low-key, easy-to-manage hair for the New Jersey native.
"I wanted to get back to my darker color because I was tired of the blonde," Teresa confessed in the interview. "The maintenance is a lot easier to manage and I love how much more natural it looks." Teresa has tried on a few hair hues for size in 2019 including going blonde and a lighter shade of chestnut brown. But 2020 is all about keeping her style clean and classic, as Casazza tells Page Six.
"I decided, let's make your hair heathy again. We're going to strengthen it. We're going to go a little bit darker, add a little more depth. She wanted to get back to her natural Italian-girl roots and [I wanted to] give her some rich dimension within her hair," Casazza explained — and that process took a whopping eight hours to complete over two days.
The first order of business was to bring her hair to a "more realistic length, because [she] felt like she was being weighed down," Casazza continued. The layered haircut includes a feathered bottom to add much-needed movement. The final result is a stunning and luscious look that looks rich enough for a Housewife.
