RHONJ's Season 11 Will Document Teresa Giudice's Decision to Sell Her House
When RHONJ returns in February, viewers will see Teresa prepare to say goodbye to her iconic home.
News broke in September that Teresa Giudice put her home on the market, and when The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns on February 17, viewers will get a full look inside the decision. According to a press release, Season 11 of the show will document Teresa preparing to sell the iconic abode in order to create a new chapter for herself and her daughters.
After Teresa gave the home a major makeover in July 2020, her interior designer Jimmy DeLaurentis opened up to E! about the process. "[Teresa] was like, 'My house needs a lot of work, it's dark, it's filled with old Italian stuff, Joe is gone,'" he said at the time. "She was just like, 'I need to feel lighter in this house.' It's a huge house, everything was doom and gloom and dark, and she had memories of a lot of stuff and she just wanted to brighten it up."
"She took me through the house room by room, and she said, 'You see this, this needs to go,' and it's a monster house," he added. "She wanted a whole new feel. And I said the first thing you got to do is lighten up all these walls, and the windows had these big heavy drapes. She called a painter that day and the painters were there, and I walked the painters through the house that very same day."
Teresa and Joe Giudice discussed the future of their 10,000-square-foot home during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked in 2019. “I wanted to keep the girls there, 'cause I didn’t want them, you know, to go through another change. And I am glad I was able to," Teresa said at the time. "But it is a lot to upkeep.”
