Teresa Giudice Reveals She Had "Cold Feet" About Selling Her House
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member opened up about "getting anxiety" as she prepared to put her home on the market.
As Teresa Giudice's real estate agent got her home ready to put on the market, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member began to second-guess her decision to sell the house. "This is really happening," Teresa said on the show's March 10 episode. "It's making me nervous."
Teresa quickly opened up to the realtor about her uncertainty. "I'm, like, getting a little bit of cold feet," she said. "I'm like getting anxiety." However, she chose to move forward with listing the house, admitting, "I do need hand-holding. I do."
On the show's March 3 episode, Teresa explained her emotional attachment to the home. "It's hard for me to sell the house," she said. "[My ex-husband] Joe [Giudice] and I built the house together, we raised our four daughters in that home."
Despite her understandably complicated feelings about saying goodbye to the house, Teresa declared that she is ultimately "ready for a new beginning," adding, "I'm looking for a fresh start."
As seen during the March 10 episode, Teresa has made drastic changes to the home's decor in recent months to get it ready to sell. In July 2020, interior designer Jimmy DeLaurentis spoke to E! about helping her transform the abode." She was like, 'My house needs a lot of work, it's dark, it's filled with old Italian stuff, Joe is gone,'" he said at the time. "She was just like, 'I need to feel lighter in this house.' It's a huge house, everything was doom and gloom and dark, and she had memories of a lot of stuff and she just wanted to brighten it up."
