Any RHONY viewer knows that Dorinda is one heck of a host, especially when it comes to the holidays. Every single year the entrepreneur outdoes herself with fabulous seasonal decorations, transforming her home into a serious Christmas wonderland. So as we began to plan our own home furnishings, we just knew that we had to get a few tips from the holiday queen herself.

One of the first things to note from Bravo's Home & Design's recent chat with Dorinda is that it takes time to build a massive decoration collection like hers. In fact, the New Yorker revealed that she started collecting items when she first got married, and it's a family tradition for her. "My mother is very Italian, and she's a huge decorator," Dorinda shared. "Literally [on] December 1st, my father and mother would spend the whole day taking everything from the attic and decorating the house." And while we could only imagine how impossible it is to narrow it down to her favorite pieces, there is one home item Dorinda is currently obsessed with: Nest candles.

“I love Nest candles,” she gushed. “Every single day, I light a candle as soon as I wake up, in my living room and my bedroom. It always makes you feel like you’re home immediately.” As for her favorites, Dorinda raved about the brand’s Bamboo and classic Holiday scents, as well as Sugar Cookie: “I think I’m going to use the [Sugar Cookie] for Christmas this year.” Not only does Dorinda keep these candles all over her home, but she also uses them as a go-to gift for the holidays. She explained that they make a great gift because they're something that "everyone can truly use." That'll definitely take care of a few people on your list.
