Who’s Getting a Facelift: Dorinda Medley or Bluestone Manor?

The Real Housewives of New York City doyenne said it was her or the house.

This we know: Dorinda Medley’s idyllic Berkshires vacation home, aka Blue Stone Manor in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, is in the midst of an upgrade. First, her Real Housewives of New York City cast-mate Bethenny Frankel leaked the news that Dorinda was renovating (and that she was going to buy her another mountable fish, hah). Then, at the end of last week’s finale, we learned the home had suffered a flood so severe, the fish room is actually gone now! Cue: Dorinda’s Twitter followers losing their collective minds.

And now, we’re hearing from Dorinda that in terms of getting tweaked, it was basically her or the house. In a recent interview with Elle, Dorinda revealed, “I said the other day, ‘I need a facelift or the house needs a facelift.’ Unfortunately, the house won.”

We also learned from the interview Dorinda was a real estate broker back in the day, and that the Berkshires have long held a special place in heart. “I was born and raised in the Berkshires and total middle class family,” she explained in the interview. “My Dad was a telephone man and I always had great ambitions of moving to New York City.”

But once she got there, she was always dreaming of summering in the Berkshires… and clearly her dream came true. We can’t wait to see all the ways Dorinda will be making it nicer at Blue Stone!
