In Her New Apartment, Dorinda Medley Has Found “NYC’s Answer to Marie Kondo”
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member enlisted some help to tidy up her NYC apartment.
Dorinda Medley does not fool around. When it came time to declutter and organize her new apartment, she brought in pro organizers. “NYC’s answer to Marie Kondo!” the The Real Housewives of New York City cast member boasted on her Instagram, referring to decluttering firm Done and Done Home. “Take a [sic] peak at the before and after pics! No one does it better than them!!” Which we immediately did and, whoa, did they “make it nice,” as Dorinda would say.
Instead of the Kondo method of “sparking joy,” Done and Done Home follows a practice called “Owning Well” — which involves investing in and keeping quality things that can last long-term and avoiding buying junk you replace every few months. So instead of buying cheaply made marked down shoes you'll only wear once and want to trash because they gave you a blister, you invest in a good pair that you can keep forever, or at least sell on eBay one day. We like this. And if Dorinda’s super organized (yet still very covetable) closets are any indication, it definitely works.
