Luann de Lesseps on Living Outside NYC: “I’m a Country Girl at Heart”
The Real Housewives of New York City cabaret chanteuse opens up about her love of nature.
As a longtime cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City, Luann de Lesseps may forever be associated with the gilt and glamour of the Big Apple, but is her heart in a different place? The cabaret star recently chatted with Home & Design about her properties outside of New York and her love of the great outdoors.
“I enjoy my homes out of the city because I like being out of the city. I’m a country girl at heart,” Luann revealed. “I love sports, I love being on my boat on the water, I happen to live – in those places out of the city – on the water, one on the Hudson River and one on the Cove, the Upper Cove of the Hamptons. I tend to love water, obviously, and search for homes on the water because it’s just therapeutic for me to see water, and calming and zen for me. ”
Echoing the point, she recently posted an Instagram video of one of her hikes upstate, writing, “Loving my new life: hiking, mountains, good energy!”
Does this mean Lu might pull up stakes on NYC once and for all? Not quite, especially since she’s got her city gigs to keep her busy! According to Luann: “There’s the country Lu and then there’s the city Lu, who does her cabaret.”
