Bethenny Frankel's Lollipop Dress Caused Some Controversy at Bryn's School
The Real Housewives of New York City mom got "called to the principal’s office" over this look.
Bethenny Frankel puts a lot of care into her fashion, from her incredibly-organized closet to her accessorizing. That goes for Halloween too — who could forget her Victoria's Secret's Angel costume from last year, with fluffy white heels and enormous angel wings?
But The Real Housewives of New York City mom was just reminiscing about another Halloween costume from years past, in honor of National Lollipop Day on June 20. Bethenny once dressed up as a lollipop queen, and this costume is so incredible, she definitely needs to post this photo every single National Lollipop Day. The attention to detail is over the top, from this dress's\ candy button straps to the lollipop fabric. Also, now we know what she would look like with cotton candy pink hair.
Turns out there's a back story (and a bit of controversy!) behind this lollipop costume, which was her daughter Brynn's absolute favorite. "This absurd picture requires an explanation," Bethenny wrote. "In fact, it was on Halloween on my talk show. My daughter was so obsessed with this that I made her a matching outfit for trick or treating. I would always run from the show to pickup so no time to change. I surprised her at pre school with this crazy outfit on. So, picture me showing up to Montessori looking like this."
That is a priceless mental image. "Needless to say, it caused a bit of a stir and I was called to the principal’s office the next week," Bethenny joked. "It was worth it because she and all of her friends LOVED it. The other moms? Well, I’m not so sure."
