Kristen Taekman: "People Don't Realize" This One Thing About the Housewives' Interview Looks
The Real Housewives of New York City alum spills the tea on the Real Housewives' interview looks we love so much.
In our humble opinion, the interviews are the best part of part of any Real Housewives show — especially when it comes to The Real Housewives of New York City. From Dorinda Medley's glam take on leopard print to Sonja Morgan's city-chic ensembles to Bethenny Frankel's sparkly rose gold top, the NYC 'Wives always come ready to spill the tea and serve looks at the same time. However, as we've recently learned from RHONY alum Kristen Taekman in the clip above, executing these fabulous interview ensembles isn't as simple as it would seem.
“Oh my gosh, [the interview looks] were so hard to do," Kristen revealed in an episode of Life After Bravo. "People don’t realize that you had to have the same look, and you sometimes went back to it again and again depending on the questions that you were asked," she explained. This also made it difficult to borrow looks from designers. Kristen shared that “if you borrowed a look, you’d have to borrow it for almost six months because you weren’t ever sure if you graduated on to the next interview look.”
The RHONY alum also revealed that "you can't wear the same look twice," which called for A LOT of shopping. So how did Kristen pull her interview looks together? Well, it turns out Real Housewives are a lot more relatable than you may think when it comes to fashion. Watch the video above to learn the surprising places Kristen shopped at for her interview outfits.
