Truth or dare? Truth is, Tinsley Mortimer broke up with Scott Kluth after Bethenny Frankel's disastrous dinner party opened her eyes to his controlling ways

It was during a game of truth or dare for The Real Housewives of New York City when Bethenny dared Tinsley to call Scott at the table and, well, we don't really know what the hell happened, because Tinsley started shaking and crying and said Scott would kill her if she put him on blast in front of her girlfriends.

Anyway, his potential reaction struck a real nerve with Tins, because she went home, demanded Scott fly to New York immediately, he said no, and she said sayonara. Then she went to a spa day Dorinda Medley was hosting the next day, all pretty smiles and fresh highlights, breezily telling everyone, "We broke up."

Everyone proceeded to congratulate her like she just got married.

One major sign your boyfriend is a jerk is when all your friends are thrilled when you break up with him — and they let you know it. Relationship expert April Masini told Personal Space ultimately, your friends are happy for your health. "Sometimes friends see what you choose not to see in your own relationship. They can see that a partner is not treating you well. They can see that you are not your best self with a particular partner. And they are happy for you and your well-being when you dump that partner. This is what true friends are for," she said.

But sometimes, their "happiness" is fueled by jealousy (although that's definitely not the case with the ladies and Tinsley). "If you have frenemies who are jealous of your relationships, they’re going to be happy that you dumped your partner. This means you’re back to being their friend first and foremost, and the partner who was your priority, is now out of the picture. This isn’t a healthy friendship, and you might consider dumping your friends — not your partners," Masini said.

Probably though, they just think you can do better. "There are many times when friends and (more often) family members think you can do better," Masini explained.

"There may be nothing wrong with your partner — except that he or she doesn’t live up to expectations that your friends and/or family have for you. These friends root for you to dump this partner because they want to see you with someone different. This may be someone more educated, someone wealthier, someone with no children, or no divorce in their past — or just someone who is different in some other way."
