Holy Cat Fight!
Ramona reflects on Jill and Mario's showdown, Alex's nude pics, and the Bethenny vs. Kelly controversy.
Wow what an episode! I watched it twice. Even I could not believe all the drama, and remember, last year I was the one nominated for Drama Queen. Who was it last night? Let's vote!
First, sorry I am late with my blog, but just got back Monday late night from spring break with my family, and did not watch until last night with everyone else. We went to South Beach and Palm Beach and I cannot believe how many fans we have - it was overwhelming. Thanks for all your fabulous orders on www.truefaithjewelry.com.As you know, all the pieces I wear on the show I designed and can be purchased there.
Finally the show, where do I begin? I have been trying so hard to contain myself, especially with Simon, so let's start with him. Usually I just walk away or save him or them for last, but I will now forge ahead. My blood pressure is rising even as I write this. At Fashion Week Kelly advised me to be civil the next time I ran into Simon, and I tried, I really did try. I just do not know what happens when I am around him, but something always does!?
What no one seems to understand, not even Bethenny and she usually does quickly, is that I am not so much upset about the nude pictures per se, but that I was not told. We are all on a show together so our behavior is a reflection in some ways of each other. These photos were taken a long time ago - that I can accept. What I found very difficult to accept is that Simon and Alex put them out there for publicity years after they were taken. We are together on a national television show, so they planted them the week of our reunion show. Why? For what purpose? Money? Fame? You tell me. I hardly knew them, but I really felt because we are on a national show together and I am a mother with a young daughter that they could have warned me and given me the heads up. I may like to dance, wear short skirts and have fun but how does that compare to nude photos? I really never expected to be on a show with people who exploited their bodies for money. The past is the past, but we are talking about the present. I was upset that they decided to drop these photos to the press. Of course it is a free country, but they know I am on a show with them and that I have a young child. They should have given me the courtesy of being prepared for the questions from the press, and more importantly, from my daughter, who means the world to me. Bethenny does not get this because she is not a mother. That is the core of the issue. If their children were 10 and 12, they would not be happy with their classmates showing nude photos of one of their fellow housewives from a TV show. Or maybe they would not care, but if that's the case, they're even stranger than I thought.
I really got a kick watching Mario and Jill go at it at the Page Six party. Usually it's me and Jill fighting, so it was refreshing to watch someone else spar with her, even if it was my own husband! Mario does take his tennis seriously and Jill is used to having her own way. Jill picked 3 or 4 dates to play, and they were all dates that Mario told her he could not play, as he would be away. So it was really funny to watch them in action, and it was in a playful but heated way. Mario is usually very calm and easygoing so this wasn't typical of him. I really think Jill likes getting feisty with Mario and me It is all OK because the bottom line is we really do respect and like each other.
When it comes to Kelly and Bethenny, all I can say is seeing is believing. When Bethenny relayed her encounter with Kelly to me, I really could not even begin to imagine what I saw with my own eyes.
I had to watch it three times! HOLY CAT FIGHT is what I saw. Their dislike for each other is so obvious.
I really do not know what it is all about, but I do have to take Bethenny's side on this one. I am beginning to think Kelly is the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz.
Well I am off to LA tomorrow for the taping of the Bravo A-List Awards, which airs April 15th. I'm too tired to write anymore.
'Till next week!
