Whatever Happened to Discretion?
LuAnn talks divorce, Bethenny's attacks, Ramona's party antics, and Alex's meltdown.
I wouldn’t say I was surprised to see Bethenny at the Pamela Rowland show, but if had known she was coming; I would have put on my armored dress!
I have no idea why my comment about attending fashion shows resulted in Bethenny attacking me. I was deeply offended by Bethenny’s comments and by her unwillingness to wait until after the show to discuss what was on her mind. I didn’t want to have it out with Bethenny at a fashion show, but I couldn’t allow her to insult me without defending myself. Then Kelly went and moved seats. Didn’t she notice that Bethenny had just ripped my head off for no apparent reason?
Gloria always has good advice. When she said I would come out of my divorce stronger and that this is the end of another chapter in my life; I felt that she really cared about my family and me and was proud of the way I had handled the situation.
The day my divorce was finalized I felt a combination sadness and relief. I have no regrets about the past, I have two beautiful children and I’m ready to embrace the future.
Jill hosted such an elegant dinner at Saks for her friends. Ramona was Ramona ... Pinot Grigio in one hand, a salad fork in the other, attacking me one moment and hugging me the next! I think in Ramona’s mind, asking Kelly during a dinner party to confirm rumors about having plastic surgery was no big deal. To me, the question was completely inappropriate. Beauty secrets are called this for a reason. If Ramona absolutely had to know whether or not the rumor was true, she should have waited until they were alone to ask instead of yelling over the crowd like she did. Whatever happened to discretion?
I think Alex was completely overreacting at Jill's party. Can't she take a joke? I mentioned what I saw that day at the dock and Jill jumped in with a quip. As a mother, I understand how Alex would be sensitive to anyone criticizing her children, but we were just joking with her at the Ungaro show. She made a mountain out of a mole hill.
