Sonja Morgan Got a Lower Facelift and Neck Lift: See Her Transformation
The Real Housewives of New York City beauty opened up her recent decision to get plastic surgery: "I needed a 'pick me up.'"
Lately, there's been some buzz around Sonja Morgan's face, and The Real Housewives of New York City entrepreneur is here to put the rumors to rest. On July 20, Sonja took to Instagram to announce some major news regarding her appearance.
"There’s been speculation around my fresh new look. I got a lower facelift and neck lift after wrapping Season 12," Sonja revealed in the caption along with before-and-after photos. She explained, "I just wanted to be rid of the wrinkling on my neck and the [jowls] that were starting to form. People thought I was nuts because it was so subtle. But not to me! It was a no-brainer – gravity had taken its toll, I was also exhausted and I needed a 'pick me up.'"
Sonja got her procedure done by facial plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Jacono from New York City, and shared that "he hit it out of the park."
"He uses a method called deep plane which goes under the muscle so your skin is still attached. Your blood flows and your face stays vibrant and heals fast," she shared.
RHONY newcomer Leah McSweeney commented on Sonja's post: "I’m fully going to @drjacono when the time is right. You look stunning. And love your openness about it."
In an IG post, Dr. Jacono revealed he is "blown away" with the results from Sonja's deep plane facelift. "We were lucky enough to be able to do the procedure after she completed filming the current season and before COVID hit in New York," he revealed.
He continued, "As you can see from her [facelift before-and-after], a [facelift] can look completely natural with my signature [extended deep plane facelift] technique with absolutely no tightness because I am lifting the deep musculature and fallen fat pads of the face not pulling on the skin. But I think she looks 15 years younger!!!!"
"At the same time I performed a [neck lift] with [platysmaplasty] to treat laxity and [neck bands]. Sonja has such beautiful facial structure, high cheek bones, beautiful jawline, and a long elegant neck. She has the perfect 'scaffolding', if you will, so I can give her a gorgeous result. I am humbled that she chose me for her surgery," he shared.
