Sonja Morgan's "Quaran-chic" Diet Includes Colonics and No White Food
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member declared she is taking "everything to kill everything and keep my immunities up."
As Sonja Morgan hunkers down in what she calls “quaran-chic” self-isolation amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, The Real Housewives of New York City cast member is turning to her typical post-filming diet to keep her healthy amid the pandemic.
“I’m doing what I usually do after I wrap a big season of RHONY,” she said in the video above, which was recorded for Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I am detoxing.”
“No sugar, no white food, no gluten,” she explained of her diet restrictions. “Actually I’m only juicing right now. I’m doing colonics. I’m taking cinnamon, cloves, garlic: everything to kill everything and keep my immunities up. Lots of green juice."
While encouraging viewers to "Google" how to keep themselves healthy as she and castmate Ramona Singer have been doing, Sonja recommends "washing your hands every time you think about it," wiping down "doorknobs, light switches, phones, [and] remotes" and washing clothes often.
Sonja previously shared that she is social distancing in Desert Hot Springs, California at the We Care Spa. “Keeping my self sequestered away in the #desert,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “The view is magnificent. Blue skies, sunshine and white clouds. All while I work on my health."
Ramona, meanwhile, is learning some tried-and-true cleaning techniques at the home she is self-isolating at with her ex-husband, Mario, and their daughter, Avery. "There's a half of cup of Clorox with two and a half gallons of water. I'm wearing an old nightgown so if I spill bleach on it I'm not going to ruin it. And I didn't know how great mops are! Look at it. This is a great mop," she said in an Instagram clip posted by Avery as she cleaned the house. "This shows how antiquated I am, I don't even know what to do with it."
Watch the video above to see Sonja detail her diet and share a bit about what to expect when RHONY returns on April 2!
