Tinsley Mortimer is adjusting to her new life now that she is no longer a cast member on The Real Housewives of New York City. Since leaving the Big Apple, the socialite has made Chicago her home — and she welcomed a number of changes, including a brand new fashion job working alongside her soon-to-be husband Scott and a fresh “life-changing” new hair look. But since the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily sidelined Tinsley’s wedding plans, she's dealt with a very relatable transformation: quarantine weight gain.

The CouponCabin editorial director spoke exclusively with Bravo Insider about how quarantine life has impacted her style and what it means for her wedding gown search. “I mean one of my big hurdles right now is losing all the weight that I’ve gained during quarantine,” Tinsley confessed in December. “I don’t even want to think about trying on wedding dresses, for real.”

Tinsley explained that pre-pandemic, “We always [had] a big event to go to that you mark on your calendar and you know that you’re gonna see the world again at that point and make sure you try to look your best." But since COVID-19 has delayed most plans, including her wedding, "We’ve all just been sort of like hibernating and hiding and so I haven’t really had much motivation [to work out].”

Though Tinsley initially had an epic vision for her walk down the aisle in an over-the-top wedding dress, she’s now considering a smaller ceremony which means a few switch-ups to her bridal style. “I’m still definitely considering Monique Lhuillier,” she explained of her potential dress designer. “I met her years ago. She just does beautiful things. And, and I have my eye on a couple of [her designs]. I’ve worn Monique Lhuillier I think now twice to the reunions too so I'm just a huge fan.”

Tinsley referred, of course, to the black and gold, sparkling number she donned on the RHONY Season 10 reunion that proved to be so nice she wore it twice. And then there was her grand, ruffle-tiered reunion gown by the designer for her series-ending Season 12 exit.

“I feel like the destination or the location of the wedding has a little bit to do with the style of the dress for me. But again, I do want to try on dresses when I feel sort of better weight-wise,” the fashion aficionado revealed. “I’m very hard on myself with weight stuff. I always have been. I feel like I’ve gotten back up to like boarding school weight. So, I need to get on it. But I feel like once I have a plan [for] the wedding, it’ll [happen].”

It seems like the new year has brought Tinsley some new motivation. Recently, she embarked on a wellness retreat at The Ranch Malibu for a bit of a reset. In a February 24 Instagram post, Tinsley gave followers a glimpse at her new meal plan and exercise regimen, which includes some killer views.

"I’m a Hiker chick now!" she joked in her caption alongside a series of sun-kissed selfies in the great outdoors. She also shared a look at her vegan meal, and her weekly schedule filled with workouts and massages. "Resetting at [The Ranch Malibu]. 4-hour hikes a day, fitness, yoga, massages, all vegan...AMAZING."
