The Real Housewives of New York City entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel revealed the incident on Twitter.
Bethenny Frankel has survived a terrifying incident: The Real Housewives of New York City businesswoman revealed Monday night on Twitter that she has a "rare" food allergy that nearly ended her life over the weekend.
She shared, "I have rare fish allergy. Sun, I had soup, itched & was unconscious for 15 mins then to ER & ICU for 2 days w BP of 60/40."
Her symptoms were swift and devastating. "I couldn’t talk, see," she wrote. "Thought I had a stroke & dying & told if 5 mins later I’d be dead." She is grateful to be alive after the horrific health crisis, and cites modern medicine and emergency responders with saving her life: "911 & EPI saved me," she tweeted. "I’ll never not carry an epipen."
She ended the tweet with "xo," presumably aimed at those whose care saved her, including a nod to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, as well as loved ones and fans who continue to show unflagging support.
Among the many fans tweeting their support was Below Deck's Captain Lee Rosbach. "So glad you are ok," he wrote. "Wishing you the best and a big shout out to those who were there to make sure you made it."
