Meghan King Edmonds Had a Lot of Awkward Moments in High School
The #RHOC mom-to-be's teen years were filled with highs and lows.

Meghan King Edmonds is always beautiful, charming, and poised on The Real Housewives of Orange County, so you would think that her experience in high school would have been nearly perfect. But apparently, that's not the case.
When we asked Meghan for her most memorable awkward high school story, she had not one but five at the ready. Some were awkward in a good way (having her first French kiss on the dance floor of her very first high school dance), while others were downright cringeworthy (her mom finding out that she had a party while she was out of town after Meghan showed her photos of her weekend festivities).
One awkward moment took a terrifying turn when Meghan got in trouble for sneaking alcohol, and she blamed it on her friend. "My parents called a family meeting with her and her parents in our FORMAL LIVING ROOM (scary!) and we had to fess up to everything," Meghan told Bravotv.com via email.
We hope some stories make Meghan laugh rather than cry these days, such as when she was learning to drive a stick shift in her dad's 1985 truck. In one story, Meghan explained that she "picked up my friends just to drive around, but I didn't have the confidence or skill to shift gears to move forward on hills so I would just stay stuck in one spot."
And yes, even Meghan had to drive around in a vehicle that wasn't exactly her dream car. Meghan described to Bravotv.com that it was always awkward to drive around in her 1990 Chrysler LeBaron "that was falling apart." "My dad spray painted the hood, bought plastic 'chrome' rims from Walmart (and they'd still fall off in the middle of the streets and I'd have to pull over to get them), smelling like mold because the convertible top leaked and sometimes I left the top down and it rained, my leaky top that my dad sewed then duct taped, the gas tank cover that would open every time I shut the driver door and cars would stop to tell me it was open but I couldn't help it unless I got in the car from the passenger side!"
Yikes! Isn't high school hard enough without having car drama, too? Luckily, Meghan and her RHOC castmates' rides are a lot sweeter today.
