Heather Dubrow may live an enchanted life in the storied 22,000-square-foot Dubrow Chateau, but when you’ve got four kids, there are certain things that even wealth, nannies, and cleaning ladies simply can’t help with. What’s that, you ask? In the simplest, most crass terms, it’s a phenomenon I like to call “kid crap.” Like The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, I also have four kids and I am well-versed in kid crap. (Catch up on all things RHOC here!)
No, I’m not talking about poop (gross), I’m talking about tiny pieces of paper, stickers, artwork, postcards, photos, and so on. While these items might seem like crap to me, inexplicably (and adorably) they become treasures to your kiddos. And this treasure adds up. It would give Marie Kondo nightmares because it inevitably lands everywhere, from your kitchen counter to your kids’ bookshelves, your purse, and, of course, the dining room table.
Ever resourceful, Heather came up with a way to tame and corral all these treasures in a way that actually turns it into wall art. Genius! “It’s really fun, it’s a fun way to look at all their friends and family and — let’s face it — there’s mostly friends there,” she said in her latest Heather’s Closet YouTube tour of her home, adding that each of her four kids also has a bulletin board in their room.
Heather bought her photo wires at Pottery Barn Teen and had them custom jeweled at B.B. Simon. Below, we’ve found five similar options that will hopefully provide a much-needed solution to all of the “kid crap” currently engulfing your home! Want to learn more secrets about Dubrow Chateau?
