Meghan King Edmonds Confirms Jim Edmonds Has Moved out of Their Home

These days, life for Jim Edmonds is undoubtedly complicated. Since reportedly filing for divorce last month, the former baseball star has been defending his reputation and swearing he never cheated on his wife, Meghan King Edmonds, with their nanny. And now, it turns out he needs a place to live.

This week, Meghan spoke out for the first time, confirming to US Weekly that her estranged husband had indeed moved out of the home they shared with their three children. “I had to quickly come up with a way to tell Aspen we are getting divorced when Jim cleared out his closet the day after he told me he was leaving,” The Real Housewives of Orange County alum revealed. “Anyway, Jim hasn’t asked about how I told her or how she took the news. In fact, I don’t think it’s occurred to him that seeing his empty closet could scar our toddler."

Where has Jim headed amidst the divorce proceedings? While he might be staying in a hotel or with a friend in the meantime, the Cardinals alum shared a video yesterday with his Instagram followers showing construction of the humongous St. Louis mansion going full speed ahead. “When you tell the builder you have to move in ASAP,” he captioned the footage, which showed dozens of trucks, cars, and workers at the 3.2-acre site.

Back at the family home, Meghan’s doing all she can to keep things as normal as possible for her kids, telling Us Weekly that she’s kept it “calm, consistent, routine-based and light” at her home.

Since news of the couple’s split first broke, we’ve been wondering what will happen to the stunning new home, which Meghan has been designing nonstop for more than a year now. The sprawling property includes a bowling alley, batting cage, wine cellar, his-and-hers master closets, and even a coffee bar in the master bedroom. No detail in the home has been overlooked, which makes this divorce all the more devastating for both parties.
