Heather Dubrow Uses a Controversial Therapy to "Improve Weight Loss" and "Boost Your Beauty"
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum's husband, Terry, and her kids came down with the stomach bug, and they relied on this wellness treatment, too.
Even with a doctor in the house, Heather Dubrow and her family sometimes need a little medical boost. So, when The Real Housewives of Orange County alum's husband and kids came down with a stomach bug, they ordered a special delivery of intravenous fluids.
On November 27, Heather posted an Instagram collage that showed her clan being tended to by a man she called "our ANGEL," Dr. Todd Newman. The doc works as a physician and anesthesiologist for Dr. Terry Dubrow, and popped by Heather's Orange County manse to give her family some IV hydration therapy.
In her caption, Heather sang the virtues of the treatment. (Nope, the text was not an ad.) Not only can it ward off sickness, the RHOC alum claimed, it can also "detoxify your body," "improve weight loss," "boost your beauty," and offer a number of other healing properties. Check out the full list, below:
Of course, Heather's not the only Bravoleb who's been known to dip into IV vitamin drips. We've seen Yolanda Hadid and Lisa Rinna alike try them out on camera. And, Terry Dubrow does have a wealth of medical prowess, to say the least.
Still, it's worth pointing out that not everyone is totally on board with this type of treatment. Kendall Jenner was hospitalized after receiving a vitamin drip, which has also been tied to possible side effects such as allergic reactions or vein inflammations. Largely, these side effects are thought to occur if the person administering the treatment isn't a pro — so it is good to know that the Dubrows are in thoroughly vetted and qualified hands!
In the end, whether you go for the vitamin drips or the chicken soup this season, we hope you manange to look and feel your best in the way that makes the most sense to you.
