I hope everyone is enjoying season 10. I am a friend this season and I will be blogging about the episodes that I'm in. I'm traveling home from Kentucky today. I had a trunk show for my swimwear line this weekend. It was a great success and so much fun. I love going home to Kentucky and will be spending a lot of time there with the kids this summer. Right now I'm dying to get home and see my babies. It's so hard being away from them.
I was looking forward to a fun time at Vicki's dinner party. I'll be honest, I was feeling a little apprehensive about the event simply because I had not spoken to Tamra since last summer. I'm not one to hold a grudge and I was willing to let bygones be bygones. I have already moved on and I hope she has too. I understand Tamra went through a lot last year with the custody battle with her ex. I can't imagine what she must have gone through emotionally or what that must have been like. I'm not making excuses for anyone's behavior, but my heart goes out to her for that struggle she endured. My plan was to smile and have a good time.
What a relief to know that Tamra had also moved past everything that transpired last year too. We are getting along and that works for me. I think at this point it's really baby steps and if we can just keep putting our best foot forward I really don't see any reason to rehash any old issues between us. It's obvious we are both in very different places than we were last year and I'm grateful for that.
I was excited to see all the ladies. Shannon and I have become really great friends and I enjoy hanging out with her. Vicki is always the life of the party and a great host. I had not seen Heather in quite a while and I was looking forward to seeing her and Terry too.
All in all, Vicki's Fiesta was a fun night. I could feel that Shannon was more quiet than usual and I understand she still had some feelings and issues that she had not entirely moved past with Tamra. I know in time she will be fine. She was very hurt last year and I get it. Shannon is a very forgiving person. Maybe she just needs a little more time.
Next week we go to Napa! A really fun trip.
A quick update on my company: I've been busy running and growing Sun Kitten Swimwear. You saw me working on my company last year. I started the company over 5 years ago and I'm so excited to share that it's now available all over the world (Dubai, Australia, Japan, Panama, Dominican Republic, Canada) and all over the U.S. We are also available on Amazon now along with many other online retailers. I'm busy designing the 2016 collection and gearing up for Miss USA this summer. Sun Kitten is the Official Swimwear of Miss USA 2015. All 51 contestants will be competing in Sun Kitten. Miss USA airs LIVE from Baton Rouge, LA July 12th on NBC. You won't want to miss it!
