Vicki: I Have to Find My 'New Normal'
Vicki explains what it was like to have Brooks move in on her terms.
Bravotv.com: We see that Brooks has moved in with you and completely on your terms, so if he moved out Brooks wouldn't get anything. That seems like a really great way to make sure you protect yourself and your assets in case things don't work out. How did you come to that idea?
Vicki Gunvalson: I have been divorced twice, and both times I had to pay my husband's off. I never received child support with my first marriage, and with my 2nd marriage I had to pay Donn alimony. This way, I am protected if my relationship doesn't work out with Brooks. We have a legal binding agreement that my divorce attorney drafted, and Brooks signed without any hesitation. This eliminates any miscommunication in a relationship once you put it all out there about what your expectations are, it's one less thing to worry about. It's a pre-nup without the "nup".
Bravotv.com: Was it stressful having Brooks move in knowing exactly how your daughter felt about him and your relationship?
VG: Yes, it was really hard on me. Briana is my primary concern however we have to "agree to disagree" on this one subject. I love her so much, but there comes a time when I have to live for me, and not her. She has her home and her family now and I have to find my "new normal" with her being gone too.
Bravotv.com: You mentioned how you don't trust Tamra anymore, do you think you were both at fault for where your friendship ended up?
VG: Of course we were both at fault. I am very sensitive and don't even remember why we ended on a bad note last year.
Bravotv.com: Do you think you two will be able to mend your friendship?
VG: Yes, the viewers will see this year that we do mend our friendship. I love and care for Tamra and will always be there for her, as long as she is "nice" to me. :)
