Shannon Beador: I Am Absolutely an Emotional Person
"...but I am rarely afraid."

BravoTV.com: Tell us about your new food business venture!
Shannon Beador: I am so excited to have the opportunity to launch Real For Real Cuisine with QVC. I have typically been a health-conscious person, especially when it comes to eating, but the last couple years I found myself eating through my stress. After gaining 40 pounds, there came a moment when I knew I had to turn my life around for myself and especially my girls. I am thrilled that I have the opportunity to show people that you can be satisfied with a flavorful meal that is healthy and low in calories. I’ve always loved to cook. Over the years, I have created many different meals that are good for you and still taste amazing. It has been such a fun process developing the recipes, and it means so much that I now will have the ability to share them and help others that are going through the same struggles that I have experienced. At this point in my life, I want to create an easy, healthy lifestyle while also enjoying myself. By making better food choices for most of the week, I can still have a dessert or piece of bread when I want to.
BravoTV.com: Why did you leave law school?
I left law school after my ex-fiancé and I ended our relationship. I realized that I truly didn’t want to practice law. But I am very grateful I received the education, which continues to be helpful today.
BravoTV.com: Were you nervous to meet Gina and Emily? What were your first impressions?
I am absolutely an emotional person, but I am rarely afraid. I was not nervous meeting Emily and Gina at all. From first impressions, I thought they both threw themselves and their opinions into a situation that they knew nothing about. While I agree with Kelly that Vicki shouldn’t have set Michael up, I found it odd and inappropriate for them to vocalize such strong opinions about Vicki, a person they had just met. They jumped right in with some pretty strong language.
